cat food for diabetic cat

Question
Hi there
right now I am feeding my cat 2x a day Hills m/d dry and and adding a bit of wet (same brand) 2x a day.
I've heard good things about Wellness brand, and that it may be better for him.
He was underweight at time of diagnosis, 1 week ago. Over the past week, on insulin and feeding this diet 2x a day, he has gained some weight back. But a few clinical signs still remain.

Do you think the Hills diet is ok?

Answer
Hi Ronnie and diabetic cat !  If your cat is doing well on the Hill's product, then that is good... Just add a few teaspoons per day of cooked white chicken or cooked lamb... ( meats should be ground or even almost pureed...

Wellness is great - if you want, you can add some of that to the diet, too.

I just hate to tell you to go off the Hills if it is working for you ...

BEST wishes
