Question
1. I own a 7 month old unneutered Savannah F5  female and an 8 month old Bengal tom.  The female seems to have been in season twice, the last about five weeks ago and now she appears to be in season again.  Both are kept in my house, but have to be separated during seasons.  Can this be possible that she is in season so many times?

2.  Since introducing the male kitten about three weeks after buying her, she doesnt like people touching her or picking her up, unless she is sleepy or in season when she is very friendly and purrs.  Do you know why this could be?

2.  Both kittens started out very clean but the female has got progressively worse urinating anywhere in the house she fancies.  I wash the areas and use odour free products as well as shampoo!  They have two cat litter boxes in the same room, both are kept clean, although the urine is left there for 2/3 days but the whole litter is changed twice per week.  I am at my wits end now and feel like I dont want the female any more.  Can you suggest anything please?

Answer
Hi,

The female is marking for a male to scent her and breed her. This is common behavior with sexually active females. And yes, it is definitely possible for her to be in season even more frequently than you describe. You will have to keep her confined during heats to prevent her marking up the house with urine.

Either neuter her, which is one plan, or breed her which will cause her to stop marking. If you are planning on breeding them together allow them to get together at her nest heat, not this one. She is still wuite young but frequent heats are an indication that she needs breeding earlier or she can develop health issues, like pyometra.
Talk to your mentor or the breeder from whom you bought your cats and see what they advise.
