kitten eyes re-closing

Question
I'm fostering a part Russian Blue momma cat with 4 kittens. Some of the kittens' eyes opened quite early before 10 days. Eventually all had opened by day 11 or 12. But then one kittens' right eye reclosed at about day 14, then yesterday another kitten had one eye reclose (two kittens w/ single eye still closed). I know this sometimes happens but not sure how long is too long for an eye to be reclosed before it indicates a problem. Any ideas? Thank you.

Answer
This is pretty normal for any kitten. The thing to watch for in the closing is are they sealing shut and if so, is there a discharge under the lids?

The most common cause of re-sealing is an infection in the eyes.

Without knowing the vaccination history of the Momma cat it's hard to know what this is.

I would have the vet take a look at one of the kittens and see if there is an infection brewing under there.
