Can I give my dog Tagament if she is throwing up? Also, how much should I give her?

I have no idea how big your dog is. Tagamet isn't the first drug of choice for vomiting and the biggest problem is WHY is your dog vomiting?

Find the reason first and if she/he doesn't stop after 24 hours you need to call your vet.

There are many different dosages of Tagamet (Cimetidine) although the over the counter dosage is a 200 mg tablet.

Vets will give dogs Lomitil, or reglan, pepto bismol, etc for vomiting. Tagamet is an acid reducer, so it really doesn't help a dog that is already vomiting.

Call your vet if this is on going.
