male cat development

Question
I just noticed two prominent, what look like, nipples on my male cat's lower abdomen. He is a little over a year old and has two siblings in he house. They are symmetrical and don't appear to be inflamed. My cat is not in any distress, I just never noticed them before. Is this just part of normal development or should I be concerned?

Answer
Well, male cats do have nipples and sometimes siblings will suck on each others nipples, so you might want to see if that is happening. That will make them more prominent.

Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it. They are a normal part of the anatomy.
