CAT sick

Question
I have a 7 year old cat that has been throwing up the last 3 days.  She seems fine otherwise. She never goes outside and has not had any issues in the past. There is nothing that I can think of that she has eaten, which would cause this to happen. I have 2 other cats and a dog and they all seem fine. Can a cat get the stomach flu?

Answer
Hi Jason,
Not sure why she is has been vomiting. She it is not from hairballs? If it was a hairball you will usually see a clump of slimmy hair. In this case you can purchas some hairball medication. This medication looks like sticky caramel. It is usually called Petromalt or Laxatone. You can find these in the store. You can try this for a week. It is safe to give it to your other cats too.
If not hairballs you should take her into the vet. for a check-up, she is entering Senior status (smile) and she needs to have a good check-up anyway. Even if she is strictly indoors. Take care and good luck.
