Question
I have recently artificially bread my female dog, and after each breeding about 10 minutes or so she would lose a puddle of brownish fluid from her vaginal area. Is this normal for a female who has never been bread before?

Answer
It is normal for any dog as they are in estrus at this time and have just finished bleeding anyway. Usually you breed them when they have just stopped the bleeding part of their cycle, so for some bloody fluid to come out is not unusual.

Dogs that have never been bred tend to bleed a bit more the first time but it is not unusual for any dog to have some discharge.
