my boxer dogs ear

Hi, My boxer id six years old now and she has always had allergy problems. We now have her on a food called beniful and it has salmon in it. She is doing exceptionally better than she was before. Now she is having a problem with a pocket of blood  developing in her ear, I am really concerned about it, she comes to me with this look on her face like she is really hurting and needs my help. I don't know what to do about it. the vet. gave her antibiotics but they are not helping any. Can you tell me what it is, and how can I fix it.

Hi Rebecca - I wonder if it is some type of a hematoma... Did the vet tell you what it is called?  Most times they will re-absorb themselves over time.

I would change her food ... beniful is not good for allergies.
Let me know if you want help on this.  Also, she need straight salmon oil... The cooking of the food kills the benefits of the salmon oil in the dog food.
