what to expect when traveling with pets?

Hi,
I want to move to Amsterdam for school within the next four to six months, I have two bunnies and a cat.I want to move them to Amsterdam with me. What are the steps I will need to take? who should I contact to start the process? what happens to them if they are quarantined?

Dear Sara
You do not tell me what country you are in!!!
If in USA, the cat will need: microchip, rabies vac at least 30 days
old and less than 1 year, APHIS 7001 international health cert issued
within 10 days of travel and endorsed by usda, and the EU form 998
bi-lingual English-Dutch, also endorsed by usda.
I do not know if the rabbits will be allowed.
Contact: Dutch embassy or consulate.  Also, contact KLM airlines
Visit:  www.ipata.com  There are some pet shippers in Holland that
can more directly answer your questions.
