Cat Quarantine from South Africa to UK

We relocated to South Africa from the UK 2 years ago and took our 2 British cats with us. We now need to return to the UK with our cats and are wondering if there is any way of not having to put them through a 6 month quarantine? We've heard that you can get pets into the UK through Amsterdam with a much shorter quarantine. Is this true?

I think this is wishful thinking to think you can go thru AMS with
a shorter quarantine.....
First, you should contact DEFRA in UK direct.  There is a link from
my website.  They will have the final say.

NO one in USA, or elsewhere really can help you.
