small tank

Question
i am a 15 yr old & am fond of fish.
i have a 1 foot home aquarium.
my mother often gets upset when i clean my aquarium.
so i opted for a filter,but the normal filters are too big and occupy alot of space.

can u suggest a method with which i can clean the tank faster(with the existing size of the tank)?

Without knowing how many gallons the aquarium is or what you are keeping in it I really don't have a lot of suggestions other than contacting your local fish store that you get your fish from to see if they have any suggestions for filtration.

A filter is definitely recommended to keep the water quality up to par between your monthly 25% water changes.

For additional details on proper fish husbandry you might want to invest in a current book.
