Question
QUESTION: I currently just set up my 29 Gal. marine aquarium with over 20 lb's of cured live rock, a professional grade marineland filter and heater rated for up to 55 gal., one banded coral shrimp, some hermit crabs, a serpent star, 2 ocellaris clowns(babies about 1/2 an inch long) 2 sunshine damsels, an algae blenny, and either a pencil or mine urchin(having trouble I.D.ing) I am not adding more fish for now so that I do not stress them out, and everything is going awesome. My question is this: I would like to get a lemon peel angel, a long tipped anemone, and some more damsels(either dominos or yellow tails). I don't want to over populate the tank, but other than the 2 clowns and 2 damsels I have now, everything else is pretty much floor bound. I don't even see the serpent star that often as it has found a nice crevice in which to make it's home. The urchin lives on the edges, the blenny scoots along the ground, and the shrimp has made his home in a little cave. So can I add the 4 damsels, the lemon peel, and the anemone with out over populating?

ANSWER: The nem is fine you can add it isn't a fish, as for more fish I would be careful, if it is a must for adding, i would just add the angel. Back to the nem Have you ever had them before? They require a little more work than fish, without a clown living in it, you will have to feed by hand on some occasions. Just make sure you read up on the nem.

QUESTION: I already have 2 ocellaris clowns, so the nem should be fine right? Also I feed the tank a four course frozen marine diet, and a high grade granule food. As for the fish I have re-thought the angel as I can't imagine an angel being happy in a 29 gallon tank, so could I add two damsels and a strawberry fish instead?

Answer
Good thoughts of the angel, see i can't remember everything, and you are right it probably wouldn't be happy. I would add maybe only 2 more small fish, in my 110 I only had if I remember correctly 6 or seven fish. I am always cautious as to how many fish i add. As for the nem, see if one of the clowns take to it. and i would also feed plankton once a week.
