Question
I have a 65 gallon tank plus about 15 gallons underneath used as a biological flitering tank.I have a protien skimmer and powerhead in it.I have a yellow tang aswell as a domino and clown.I also have star polyps which are growing rapidly.Lighting-150 Watt HQI Metal Halide Bulb 20,000 kelvin Double End Shape CRI 85 horizontal Burn position.I would like to purchase a anemone.Do u think i have to purchase extra lighting wich i am willing to do and if so what extra lighting should i ad?Would a white light be an effective addition?Also what species do u think i should start of with, i hear bubble tips are a good choice any other species?I also have a major atapasia investation that i want to get rid of any suggstions?I want to get a peppermint shrimp but would this eat my anemone aswell?Sorry i know it is quite a few questions your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey James

Peppermints should leave your future anemone alone. A product called Joes Juice is a good aiptasia remover and you just squirt it in the aiptasias mouth. It would be good to get some more lighting, i would get a 2x65w PC. theyre only $100ish on ebay. You are right, a good starter anemone would be a bubble tip. I would get a green bubble tip anemone, they are more forgiving and good for beginners. it most likely will move under your metal halide
