I am not sure what you are asking here.  Are you wondering why or rather HOW sperms survives in a saltwater environment?

If so, i would have to defer to GOD.  He designed each creature to be able to survive and reproduce.  If not, each critter would die off and become extinct.

Hello,

I would guess that the sperm is surrounded by material that protects it and allows it to survive until the sperm reaches the egg.

That material either wears out for a 'set period' or is released upon contact with egg membrane.

But, you have a good question, and my answer is just a guess.  I didnt do real good in biology or sex education. that is why i only have one kid...
