Aquarium turtles?

I have a 38 gallon fresh water aquarium.  I was wondering if there is any type of mini turtle that could live in it.  I know that turtles eat snails.  I have one African dwarf frog in there already, so I
have seaweed that forms a nice resting place at the water surface.  Have any ideas?

Hi Sarah,
Thank you for your question. Aquarium supply shops used to sell turtles, but they had to quit in the 1970s(?) because kids were swallowing them and getting salmonella poisoning. They do not sell them anymore, but sometimes people get them somewhere, not sure where.
Anyway, beyond that, I don't know.
