trimac cichlid

Question
i have too questions if you can help it wood be grate. i have a fish and not to sure what it is it looks like a trimac but it  also looks like a flowerhorn. i asked the shop keeper and he sead it was a salvini cichlid but it is not yellow and it has red eyes.i have no way to show you a picture .but wood like to no. and all so ihave two big filters runing with a spray bar on one of the filters and lots of moveint in the wather. do i need a air pump runing all the time .wen it is not runing. the fish seam to be breeding very fast but are not hanging at the top.i keep the temp at 27c and the ph at 7 it is not overstocked and nitrate and nitrite are at 0 thanks for your help anthony

Unfortunately I can't help you identify your fish, but I can help you with the second question. You don't NEED an air pump running all the time, but I would strongly recommend it. The air bubbles from air pumps don't actually increase the amount of oxygen in the water by much, but they agitate the surface allowing more of the environments oxygen to dissolve. So the more the surface can be agitated, the better for your fish.
