Start-Up Aquarium

Hello,
After much patience and research, I have set up my tank with everything besides fish and let the tank filter for over a week.  I am going to get a tank with Angelfish, Swordtails, and Cories (per my instructional fish book).  However, I tested my water and found that my PH is on track but that my water is hard.  Is this a problem? If so, how do I make the water softer?  Thanks.

Hello,

I would not worry about water hardness. If you buy your fish from a pet store in your area, then they are probably already adjusted to your local waters hardness.
