Hello!!!I have 2 blue acara and 1 gourami in a fair sized tank for the fish, the blue acara have began to breed. The gourami is being chased but he can stick up for himself.Anyway, these fry are most likely to wander off sometimes so how am i going to save them from the filter?
Will the blue gourami be okay with the acaras when they breed in the future or is there a chance of death for him?(they only chase him away now)
Thanks for the help!

Hi Alex,
You may want to raise them in a separate tank as this can be a lot easier as they need feeding quite often. What type of filter do you have? A sponge filter would be suitable for the babies. The Gourami should be okay but just keep an eye and make sure he isnt being attacked. If this happens you should remove the Gourami.

Hope this helps

Answer
Hi Alex,
You would need a tank with no substrate as it is much easier to clean. You need a heater and a sponge filter.
Try and keep it very simple as they will need very clean water. You can feed them on crushed up flake and baby brine shrimp.

Hope this helps
