half of my angel fish top fin is gone

half of my angel fish top fin is gone i don't know how it happend i have black skirt tetras whith them but it is a 90 gal. aquriam so they should have much room it is in a seprate tank until i can find out what or who did the fin nipping to it please help

So, how many angels and black skirts?  And are those the only fish in there?  Some tetras can become a bit nippy, as well as other angel fish.  Is there a fish in there that tends to bully the others?

Another thing to check, what are your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates reading?  If the water quality isn't good, that can start up a case of fin rot.  

Best treatment I would recommend at this point, pick up some MelaFix and PimaFix.  They're both an herbal remedy, work great for fin and tail problems and other minor bacterial infections.  And, they're both safe to use together.  I prefer using PimaFix, but MelaFix works good if it's an injury.  Figure using both together would cover if it's a bacterial, fungal, or injury problem causing it.
