QuestionHi, my pleco that i just added to my tank is missing. He is about an inch long and was in a 14 gallon tank with rocks and two Baby Tears plants. I was wondering if they could "climb" out of the tank with their sucker mouth but I don't think mine did even if he could. Can they squeeze behind rocks and stay there? I can't find him anywhere. If there is a way to draw them from hiding that'd be nice but I have no idea where he went. Thanks.

AnswerWill,
Plecos are great hiders, it took two weeks after adding a bushynose one to my tank to see it again. Please say you don't have a common pleco as they get well over a foot long and need 100 gallon tanks. He most likely is hiding behind rocks and decorations. A good temptation is some cucumber (sliced) put into the tank. this could draw him out.
