Mollies - breeding

Question
I started with two yellow balloon mollies; somehow, one of them had babies - 8 of them, none pure yellow and only 3 balloons. Now, someone or two someones, have bred again and there are at least 14 babies in the tank; four are pure black, the others are yellow, some with touches of black and still too tiny to see if the are regular or balloons.  I didn't realize anybody was pregnant, no one is eating the babies, I don't have a special breeding cage, and I need to know how to stop the breeding.  Also, the non-balloon mollies, two or three at a time, seem to be "bothering" the balloons, hanging on to the undersides of them periodically; does this have anything to do with the breeding process?

Thank you

Answer
Hello,

Well first off the ones that are bothering the other mollys are the male mollys that tend to bug the female molly that they are mating with. And really as long as you have a male in the tank then they well keep breeding. Keep in mind that even after you remove the male molly they can still have babies up to three months after because they carrie fertile eggs.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask!!
