Question
Hey. I have 2 gold fish,4 fancy tailed fish and 2 tiny fish. I have just moved them all in to a new tank and they seem to like it. But one of my gold fish has 2 little insects stuck to his tail. they are about a millie meter big and are latched on to his fin. I can't find any information on what it is and whether to remove it or not. I would really apreciate some help. Thankyou. x x x

Answer
Hi Jenny,

Your goldfish almost undoubtedly has anchorworms. Do a Google image search just to make sure, but I am 99% positive. You can also Google the word "lernea" to get more information.

This article will tell you all about how to treat them:

Good luck, I hope everything works out for your and your goldfish!

Have a great weekend,
