Black Convict Chilids

Question
I have three Convicts in my 55 gallon tank,when can i tell that they are ready to breed.Two of them are getting very black in color, please explain if thats a sign i have a hundred extra fish on there way. Please reply directly to my E-Mail address    Thank You

Hi Harry;

Convict's colors will intesify as they come into breeding condition and prepare to spawn. If they have staked out territory and you are sure of their sexes then it looks like you indeed have babies on the way!
