What are the signs of a fish getting ready to die?

Hi Brandon:

Well there are many signs.  Usually the fish is not as colorful.  It also will be less active.  Sometimes the fish may have trouble staying "level" in the water and will tend to turn to its side.  If there are other fish in the tank, they will usually "go after" a sick fish and injure it further so the fish will appear beaten up and may have its fins chewed on.  Other times a fish will die with no apperant signs.
