Question
  Hello Mick,
Yesterday the 17 my mother bought 3 Irredecent Sharks. one of them sadly died. but the other two are alive and thriving. I did see the question you had about the pregnancy of the shark and how you commented on how they are like catfish and get belly's. BUT we got ours and it has a belly that looks pregnant and my mother decided that she should seperate the Shark from the others for a little to see if it may be Pregnant and if it is the other fish won't eat her babies or even her. we are mostly worried about our freshwater blue lobster. he doesn't eat the fich but we think he might eat the eggs. I was wondering if that is a bad idea to seclude her away from all the others? thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi,irridesant sharks do not get preagnant untill they have reached their maximum size which is 2 and a half feet long, these sharks need very large aqauariums to bree, the reason why it lookes pregnant is because it probibly ate whithin that day, irridesant sharks are in the familly of catfish, and all catfish once finished eating, their bellys get large, so just put the shark back!THANKS!
