My beta is going to blow up!!!!

My beta looks like hes about to blow up. Im not sure how to explain this but I guess if beta's have necks thats where the problem is. Its like a huge ball right under his face. It looks like he's got all of his food that I give him stored there. I guess thats all I can say about it. It just looks like it would be really painful, do you know what it might be?

If his scales seem to be sticking out like a pinecone, he has a condition known as dropsy. If not, he may be constipated. Here is a web page on constipation;
