pregnancy?

hi...my white fish is is in a medium sided tank and is with 3 other goldfishes her size.
shes been getting bigger than the others lately and has a lower bump on her stomach.
today i saw that their is a 3 inch white string coming out of her south region

can she be pregnant?

Hi Lisa,
Your goldfish could be (pregnant) to say. Goldfish lay eggs then male fertilize them then usually eat them so if your goldfish is pregnant you should protect the eggs with getting some kind of netting to put over them from the pet store or they might jst tell you to pick them up but I don't want to tell you to do that. The white string is probably poo. I can't tell for sure if it's pregnant because I haven't seen. Good luck and happy breeding,
