Question
I have a male swordtail fish that I've had for about a month.  I just got a few more fish including some neon tetras, ghost shrimp, and a Gold something or other .. The gold colored fish is a tropical fish but the swordtail seems to nip at its face, eyes, and stomach, but it doesn't seem to be doing it aggressively.. how do u explain this behavior? Also, I have an African dwarf frog who was fine the first few days I had it, but it seems to just float at the top of the water and won't move at all, I can't tell if it's dead, sick, or if this is normal.  Please help !! .. thank you

Answer
Well your swordtail is just trying to show the fish that this is his tank and it is trying to show that this is his territory. Its natural it should stop in less then a week almost all fish that are introduced to a new tank with fish already in it the old fish with kind of nip at it so don't worry. Ok my african dworf frog will do the same thing time to time also he justs swims back down when he wants to so i wouldn't worry. Just to make sure touch the frog with a net to see if he move if he does he is alive if he doesn't hes DEAD!!!
