QuestionI bought a pair of honey gourami's about 4 weeks ago, they are doing great, but the are juveniles. At what age do they mature to their brighter colors, I want to know if I have a male in the group. Or is there a way to tell the difference as juveniles?
AnswerHi A,
It's been many, many years since I kept honey gouramis. You are looking at about six months to a year roughly for them to mature. It can depend on many things, such as water temperature, how much you feed them, etc. I doubt if you can sex them reliably as juveniles.
