White Cloud Mountain Minnows

Question
Hi, I think two of my White Mountain Minnows are pregnent. They have become a lot fatter, especially around the stomach area and stay near to plants and near the bottom of the tank. They don't like sick and are behaving normally. I haven't made any temperature difference or changes to their diet. I've seperated them from the main tank and put them in my Quaritine tank. I've heard they're livebearing fish, what to the fry eat? How many should I expect to have? They have been "pregnent" for little over 2 weeks, when will the fry be born? Will the mothers eat the fry if not seperated straight away? Any other info but be a great help. Please reply ASAP! Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hi Nicole,
White clouds are not livebearers. They are egg layers.  So, the female needs to be in the same tank as the male or the eggs she lays will never get fertilized.
