Jack Dempsey in trouble

I have had a JD for a few months now, recently he had some fin nipping so he was moved to my other tank.
Since moving he has changed from black with blue speckles to very pale and whitish.  He seems healthy but his eyes might be bulging slightly(Could be paranoia, on my part.)
Is the colour change normal?

Hi Marc,
 The color change is normal. The pale color is his "I am not sure where I am" colors. Pale is very non-offensive to other fish so he is trying not to be noticed. Over time, he should get more comfortable and get darker.

 Also, make sure that there are hiding places in the new tank so he has a place to go to feel safe. That will help a lot.
