African Chiclids

I have a 40 gallon tank with 5 africans chiclids in it has a catfish and a pleco. All the fish except for the catfish average out to be about 2 inches long the cat fish is about 3-4 inches is it safe to put more chiclids in or will that stress the fish out?? and also will that reduce the fighting ??

Hi Tyler,
  Putting in more fish will not reduce the fighting significantly. In fact, it could easily increase the fighting. The best way to reduce the fighting is to add more structure (rock, wood, plants, etc) to break up the space.
