Is my fish just crazy?

Hi there!  I have a Red Tiger Oscar (about 12 inches) that we recently rescued from a really horrible tank.  He's gotten his color back and is actually swimming around now (instead of just laying there tilting).  Today he started puffing up his face and kind of "freaking out".  He faces out of the tank (towards us), puffs up his face, and starts moving back and forth very quickly.  Is this something to worry about?  I can't seem to find anything online about Oscar behavior...

Hi Autumn,
 Actually that is  a very good sign.  He is now healthy enough to say "hey, this tank is my space so be careful".  Oscars are very territorial about their space (it's all he has so he has to protect it fiercely).
