Question
Ok! I have a blue faced peacock cichlid and recently I have changed their diet from Hakari Gold to blood worms!!!! Now from what Im noticing from the fish is bloating, discoloration, slow movement of the gills and it seems to look like thin white string looking things slowly moving out from the bottom of him! Could this be from the blood worms? I had taken a water sample to the pet store and they said the PH was fine and everything else out of all my fish he is the only one who has been effected! why is this so? what could be the problem?

Answer
Hi Erica,
Many people believe that blood worms are too high in protein for peacocks and suggest feeding them sparingly.  So, I guess the answer is "yes", it could be due to bloodworms.
