pregnant koi

i have a koi that is pregnant she is really big should i remove her before she gives birth or move them to another tank smaller till she gives birth then move the males back into the big tank thx

Hi Sterling;

She isn't really 'pregnant', she grows eggs inside her. She needs the help of a male so she can lay them. After she lays eggs and the male fertilizes them, remove both parents so the eggs have a chance to hatch into baby koi 3 or 4 days later. The parents will eat their own eggs and babies.
