Black Convict babies

Question
In our 80 gallon tank we have 2 black convicts, 1 plecosomus, 2 tinfoil barbs, 2 tiger barbs, 4 greens spotted puffers and 2 pink gouramis. The convicts just had about 40-60 babies. Do we need to move them. Should we feed them the same food etc. The convicts seem to be doing a pretty good job of warding off all other fish and there are hiding locations that they can take them to protect them. Right now however they have them swimming out in the open while defending them. Thank you in advance for an advice and assistance.

Answer
Hi Tim,
The decision is yours.  The convict parents are pretty good at fending off predators.  Most likely some of the babies will get eaten but a few will survive, similar to what happens in the wild.

You can feed the kids with crushed flake food or ideally get some frozen baby brine shrimp.
