goldfish white spots

hi, i got my goldfish yesterday and i looked this morning and its got white spots on it like salt dots and ive had my tank since firday with a filter, i got told from the pet shop to leave the tank getting filtered for up to 48 hours but i lefted it that bit longer and its got a plant in it. i just read one of the answers on this web site about changing 25% of the water so i have just done that, but i dont know what else to do.

HI Katy,
 Unfortunately your goldfish has a disease called ick.  There are treatments available for ick, though I don't know the brands available in the United Kingdom.  In the States, one of them is called Rid-Ich.  You need to get one of these right away and follow the instructions exactly.
