Aquarium Products Gel-Tek Ampicillin is a broad spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic that exerts anti-bacteria action on susceptible organisms. It is effect against a number of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria associated with fish diseases. Use for bacterial infections pop eye, swollen body, bacterial kidney disease, fin rot, Flexibacter infections and septicemia.

Use 5 drops per fish twice a day. Repeat for 3 days.

Yes they would be, but make sure they are not used.  Buy new, and never used.  There is also another site...Vetamerica.com.  Check it out, and try to get the best price.  Maybe your Vet is selling this too, call and ask him how much it would cost for you Betta.  If he sells you the antibiotics, that's okay, but if he charges you a visit, then that would cost too much, but it is worth a try.
