How long will the crayfish carry it eggs befor they lay them.and how to take care of them

Hi Jennie,

How long the female carries the eggs for depends on species and water temperature. However, it will be at least four weeks before she releases the young.

The female will mother the hatchlets for a short while after birth. I'd suggest feeding the babies basic flake food, mainly because it should give them a protein boost. Make sure there are enough hiding places in the tank so they feel safe.
