Housing finches and budgies together

Question
I would like to cage my finches and budgies in the same larger cage.  They have been side by side for over a year and interact with each other.  I have 4 finches and 1 budgie and the cage is a triagle cage 2' X 2' by 3' and 6 feet tall.  Will this work?

NO! Do not house budgies and finches together! Budgies are parrots and will tear the little finches apart before you can do anything to stop it. Keep the two separate. If that budgie decides to attack the finches there is not a thing the finches can do to protect themselves.
