NEW PARAKEET IS HIDING IN CAGE

wE  JUST GOT A NEW PARAKEET. WE THINK HE IS ONLY A COUPLE OF MONTHS OLD. HE HAS STARTED HIDING UNDER HIS DRINK CUP DURING THE DAY. WE TAKE HIM OUT AND HE DOES FINE ON MY FINGER. DOES NOT ACT AFRAID. HE HAS ALSO STARTED HUNCHING THE "COZY". IS THIS NORMAL BEHAVIOR FOR A YOUNG BIRD.

Just so you know, most people find it very annoying when others use all caps. Some find it rude and on the internet, it's considered 'shouting'. Just thought I'd let you know that! :)

As for your questions, perhaps you should get your Budgie checked out by an Avian Vet. He may not be feeling well.

And also, I'm not too sure what you mean by 'hunching the "cozy"'.
