How long does it take to train a budgie to speak

It depends on the age of the budgie and the difficulty of the phrase. With a young/middle-aged budgie it may take a month for one word. It may take a bit longer with an older budgie. I suggest starting out with a single word and working your way up to phrases. It also depends on your budgie's personality. Some budgies never learn to talk.
