new bird

hi i got this new budgie it's 8 weeks old and is a male. i got him a few days ago and when he sees or hear another brd out side he will go crazy like climing up the cage is he to lounly i don't what another bird because i want him to lve me and not another bird. Another thing is when should i start taming him. by the way its my first time looking after one should i know any thing else plese tell me

You should start hand taming as soon as possible. The day you bring him home should have been the first day of training. As for your bird wanting to go towards other birds, they are flock animals. If you do not spend enough time with the bird (hours a day) or if the bird is not hand tamed, it will look at other birds as his "flock".
