Cockatiel laying eggs at 3-1/2 months old

I purchased this Whiteface cockatiel about a month or so ago. Her hatch date certificate states she was born April 23, 2008. Today Aug. 6th, 2008, I came home to find an EGG. She had been 'crooning, crouching backed up in the corners of her cage' the past week or so. Now I know why.. She is a SINGLE cockatiel bought at a petshop. She was being handfed there before I bought her. Can there be a mistake in her age or is this possible at this young age??

It is possible, and it is also not good.  She's really WAY too young to begin this behavior, and it could become fatal if it continues.  Please read the article I wrote at http://www.cockatiel.org/articles/incessant_egglaying.html
