Questionhello, please suggest me a good, simple, complete book on equine veterinary, either a book or a dvd. it should provide me the complete course. ma'am, i am from maths stream, i dont have any basic knowledge on animals. but i will surely try my best to learn if i am taught well. just opposite to my home is racecourse, can i get into it, start working as an assistant vet for a 1 year, get experience and then buy this manual? my dream is to start a show jumping stable in my village. we have 8 acre vacant land there. please dont think i am funny. this is my ultimate dream!!!
AnswerHi Rohit,
I think your dream is an admirable one. I'm not sure what the regulatory system is like in your country, but here you generally need veterinary technician training to obtain a position as a veterinary assistant. But that could be very different where you are. A very good veterinary manual that I could suggest to you is The Merck Veterinary Manual, and you can find more information about it at "www.merckvetmanual.com". It's a lot of heavy reading but very informative.
Thanks, Corlena
