Donkeys Fighting

Question
Okay here's my problem: I have two gelded donkeys who fight on a daily basis. When they're not fighting, they're great friends - never far from each other. However when they fight it gets pretty rough and I'm terrified they'll hurt each other. I bought the second because the first was lonely after the death of my horse. I would hate to have to sell or separate them. If you can give me any sort of advice I would appreciate it.

Answer
It is common for donkeys to fight to a certain extent. They may bite each other, get on top on each other, even mildly kick each other. If they are play fighting and not going for each other's throats or drawing blood then you are fine. I have a donkey who does all of the above and after he and his friends finish their "fighting" they are friends. One thing you should look at is when they were gelded. It takes about 3-4 months for the testosterone to leave the body. If they are not hurting each other and neither was just gelded I would not worry about it.
