QuestionI just recently adopted a 2 year old filly Mustang with about 10 hours of halter training. I want to know how to earn her trust, show her I am the boss, but that I am not a threat. I do not know if the things she does is because she is young and hasn't been handled much or is it because she is a Mustang. When I take her out she will be grazing and walking with me fine and then all of a sudden she will try to run away and spook. I do not know if she is testing me or still nervous about me.
Thanks!

When it comes to training a Mustang, I prefer to start in a round pen. It gives me a nice controlled area to work with them and influence their movements. And consistent work is the only real way to gain a horses trust and respect
A two year old Mustang can be a handful for even an experienced trainer. I would strongly suggest finding a trainer in your area that can help you with some hands on advice.
Best of Luck!
