FOAL TRAINING BY AGE

Question
My Mother's Day present this year was given to me by my mare.  "Lucy" is now going on 3 weeks of age.  I imprinted her from day one...she allows me to rub her all over, place her halter on and lift her front feet.  She doesn't mind being touched and rubbed all over her body.  I started leading her yesterday, but it was quite a job.  Could you kindly give me hints as to what I should be doing with her on a weekly and age basis?  My mare is totally cooperative with me and doesn't care what I do to Lucy....thanks ever so much and best regards, Susan from Connecticut

Answer
Congrats on a great Mothers Day present! My best suggstion would be to purchase Clinton Andersons Handling Foals, Weanlings & Yearlings DVD. I am not affiliated with him in any way, however, it's a wonderful dvd with a great time line and also tells you how to read the personality of your foal and tailor the training for that specific foal's disposition. You are off to a great start!
