different type of bit hello, what type of a bit is this, please look at the bit ring. in india, this bit is commonly used. may i know the uses of this bit?

I'm not sure about the proper name of the bit. But it appears to have a broken bar such as a snaffle bit would have. But it is a leverage bit. The slots at the end of the shanks are for attaching the reins at different intervals. This allows the rider to adjust the leverage for the training of the horse. You would need to have very light hands to use this bit. But I would say this is an adjustable leverage bit.
