Showing a young horse at halter

Is there a resource for finding out specific steps to go through to train a yearling for halter showing, ie: getting them to trot off with you, square up, etc.  I have a 10 month old and a coming 2 year old

Hi Terri,

Thank you for your question, sounds like you have a fun show season ahead. The number one book I recomment is Winning at Halter by Denny Hassett, it's considered the halter "bible" by many. And covers everything from feeding to training to grooming, you can usually find it on Amazon or most of the horse supply catalogs offer it as well.
